Modern production technology

The oil refining technology at Tuong An combines chemical and physical refining methods, processed within modern and automatic production lines from world-renowned brands such as WURTER & SANGER (the U.S.), THYSSENKRUPP (Germany), and DESMET (Belgium). The oil refining system works constantly; they are automatically controlled and managed by PLC operating systems and computers in order to best ensure the quality requirements and maintain the greatest amount of natural Vitamin A and Vitamin E in the oil. Refined cooking oils undergo the following stages

Degumming

Stage

Degumming

The purpose of degumming is to eliminate gum, wax, phosphate and small amounts of trace metal, etc. that exist in unrefined oil by using phosphoric acid solution at the right temperature. If the aforementioned compounds are not removed, the final product will not be translucent and may be harmful for our health.

Neutralization

Neutralization

At this stage, free fatty acids are removed. A high content of free fatty acids can affect the product’s preservation and harm the health of consumers. We rely on the neutralization between the fatty acids and SUD at the right concentration and temperature to create soap; soap and gum are then removed by the centrifuge in the degumming stage. After the soap residue is removed, the oil is then rinsed with water to eliminate the rest of the soap residue. This stage does not only remove fatty acid but also removes mechanical impurities materials that cause color in the unrefined oil.

LOOP - Bleaching

LOOP - Bleaching

This stage utilizes activated carbon and clay to continue to absorb the color of the oil as well as the remaining soap in the oil. The metal ions at the right temperature and suitable vacuum condition can brighten the color of the oil.

Deodorization

Deodorization

At this stage, superheated steam is introduced into the oil at the right temperature and vacuum condition to eliminate odors and free fatty acids that still remain in the oil. Equipment and technology play a crucial role here as they will affect the quality of the final products. Refined oil is safe for consumption after deodorization.

Refined oil is poured into PET containers ranging from 0.25 liters to 5 liters using German or Italian automatic oil filling lines. The stages of production are all modern and unique in Vietnam.
